Test Kitchen is a social enterprise, which was incorporated in 2015 by founders Julie-Ann Hill and Matt Haren.
Our pilot site was Port Augusta, South Australia, however, we have expanded into the Adelaide metropolitan region, as well as contributing to co-designed projects around Australia.
Test Kitchen is a placemaker for social interaction across generations, with a focus on the value it brings to the wellbeing of older people.
Test Kitchen is a food business in that it supports, in multiple ways, the provision of wholesome, homely and sensorial food to older people.
Test Kitchen is a social connection platform, which supports the connection of older people to other generations through social meal-time experiences.
Together, these main business activities connect older people to their communities in settings that support their wellbeing through social and nutritional mechanisms.
